Me too!

So i've gotten really bored with my hair because i'm trying to keep it as normal as possible until me and zach get married again. So i cut my bangs along with Guin's. It's not a very good picture but it gives an idea.

Bangs

I cut Guin some bangs because her hair was getting in her eyes. Here they are!

Stretch Marks

So this is a little tip for pregnancy stretch marks. It worked for me but i don't expect it works for everyone. Anyway i used to have my belly button pierced before i had Guin so when i got pregnant with her i got three big lightning strike stretch marks that were caused from the scar when i took my piercing out. After i had Guin i had this funny wrinkly belly that i called my grandpa and my booty looked like it'd been attacked by a tiger. So my grandpa shrunk a little bit after i had Guin but after about six or eight months i realized it wasn't going away. Then i went to the Family Dollar and Found this stuff called Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks. I got it for like two bucks. After about 4 months My stretch marks and my grandpa were practically nonexistant. My sister says it works really good as a face lotion for wrinkles too. Anyway have fun with my worthless advice. Lol.

Nose Ipe

So poor Guin has a lil' stuffy nose. :( This morning she woke up saying "nose ipe, nose ipe". I've tried wiping her nose but it's just to deep to get out. Poor girlie. Anyway here is a picture i stole from Charity of Ava and Chris. She is so beautiful in it i just have to show her off.

Daisyzombie

So my sisters and I have been making a bunch of crafts over the past few years that are really cute. We keep on wanting to do the farmer's market or something but we never get around to it. So the other day my sister Shiloh was in downtown nampa and she came to a store that had just opened and was looking for stuff like what we make to sell. So we brought in some examples of what we make and she said she's take them. They get thirty percent and we get seventy percent i think is what the agreement is. Anyway we decided to call ourselves Daisyzombie. Kinda crazy but it fits us. Anyway it's so awesome and it is going to be so much fun!

Job Search

The job search really bites right now. I had one phone interview and did not get the job. I have been applying to a lot of jobs and it is hard sometimes because I feel like I will never find a job and I worked so hard in school so that I could get a good job. However, I know that I cannot give up and I will apply to 10000 jobs if that is how many times it takes to find a job. I read this book that my mom gave me for graduation called the uses of adversity. It is a great book and I recommend it to everyone. I really appreciate what Fontanna wrote in the earlier blog about working on things. I love her and little guiny so much. I know that I am probably like the worse husband ever. I will still continue to try so hard to be the best because I want to be that for them and myself. I try everyday to be the best and I want to be perfect but I am nowhere even near that but they put up with me anyway. Thank you Fontanna for trying to work on things it really means a lot. I love you! Guin daddy loves you!

Zach

Oregon Trail

I was looking at the pictures of the old historical sites at the back of the triple combination (Book of Mormon, D&C, Pearl of Great Price) and I saw a picture of the pioneer wagons. For some reason I thought of the Oregon Trail game that we used to play when I was younger and I thought it would be fun to see if I could find it online to download. Sure enough I did and found out that Fontanna had never really played it before. We ended up having a lot of fun playing it. Two of our people died but I think that I should be over it by the end of the week. A two day mourning period should be sufficient. I would recommend that if you want to have fun, play the Oregon Trail game.

Zach

The Oregon Trail

So i have never played the Oregon trail game before. Zach decided that i needed the experience to become a true nerd like him. He pushed up his glasses with a snort and headed out for a journey through google.com. He finally found the first old school version ever made and we started to play it. we'd take ten minute turns so one of us could watch Guin. it was surprisingly really fun. We ended up being number seven on the oregon trail TOP TEN. woot woot! we rock. anyway that's all about that.

So i am have OCD. Certain things have to be certain ways and perfect and everything has to be how i want it. i've been working on it because it really affects zach in alot of ways. it makes him feel like he can't do anything right and to me before yesterday his way wasn't right. then i read this little article on how to get your husband more involved with helping out with the kids. there was this one quote that said "his way isn't wrong just because it's not the same as your way". So now every time i feel the urge to say "this is how i do it so you should do it like that" i just chant that quote to myself and walk away. so what if he puts her socks on different? so what if he uses different cleaners in the bathroom and he cleans the shower first instead of the toilet? it's ok because his way isn't wrong just because it's not the same way i'd do it. Anyway i'm doing better. not perfect, just better. i never thought the baby center bulletin could be so helpful.

Finally #2

So today Guin FINALLY went to the bathroom in her potty. It was messy and amazing. I think this is the most excited i've ever been about pooping. My sister Shiloh and I decided that in the two years we've had our daughters we've had more conversations about poop than we have in all our years before them combined. It's funny how things change after you have a baby.

Finally!

So today we FINALLY got our portraits back from JCPenney Portraits Studio. They turned out great. It was amazing we got any good pictures because Guin was so mad the whole time the lady was taking the pictures. I'm going over to my parents sometime this week to scan them so i'll post them on here later so people can check them out. Anyway it's exciting for me because it was our first professional family photos. Yep.

Potty Training

So today is Guin's second day of serious potty training. She has had zero successes so far. Except once with my sister she made a tiny little poo in the potty. I never wanted to hear the sound of pee trickling into the toilet so much. I'm using a method my sister is using with her daughter. It's working great with Lilli so we'll see how it goes with Guin. The method is putting normal underwear on them and so when they have an accident it's really uncomfortable so it gives them motivation to use the potty. I really hope it starts working better soon. Potty training is more work than i knew. But such is everything with kids. Don't get me wrong though! Being a mother is the best job i ever had!

The picture below is of Guin's first time actually going pee in the potty. That was the first time i tried to potty train her but she got sick the second day and so it was bad timing.

Guin's New Skill

So when you have a toddler there are all these amazing milestones that they go through. They can jump without falling on their nose, they can eat without half their meal ending up in their diaper, they can draw things like circles and lines, they can sing and memorize songs, and they can a little. These are all wonderful things that you love to watch your child master. There are also some milestones that aren't shared so publicly but they sure are funny. Guin learned one of those today.
I was sitting on the bed with Guin and we were waiting for Daddy to get a diaper and wipes for that wonderfully stinky morning diaper change. Guin layed down on her stomach, stuck her bum in the air, and let out a huge fart. I said what i always say "Guin did you toot?" She usually just laughs which means yes she did or she says noooooo which means there was something yummy that came along with that fart. but this time an amazing thing happened. Her reply was "Nooooooo, mamma's toot". So her amazing milestone of the day is that she has learned to blame things on other people.
